    TRC is a non-profit NGO that provides psychosocial services to survivors of torture and organized violence in the West Bank. TRC targets those individuals who have been exposed to torture and other severe human rights violations as well as their families and their communities. It provides treatment in cases where the patient cannot afford treatment. Its ultimate mission is to contribute significantly to eliminating the prevalence and consequences of torture, organized violence and other human right abuses in Palestine. It aims to alleviate the suffering of torture survivors and their families and to facilitate the process of their reintegration into the community and into the routine of daily life. It strives to promote a community culture that rejects all types of torture and organized violence and to reduce the chances of torture survivors becoming a source of violence. It aims also to raise public awareness and understanding of mental health and human rights issues. It cooperates with prominent international institutions and is becoming part of the universal movement against torture. Its ultimate mission is to uplift mental health, human rights issues and social welfare in the Palestinian community.
