The CIMADE (Service Oecumenique d'Entraide) programme seeks to defend the dignity of uprooted people while actively engaging in awareness raising with Christians regarding the need for international solidarity. CIMADE through its nine offices across France provides legal assistance and training to uprooted people, gives advice and advocates, sometimes through protest actions jointly undertaken with churches, for those who are lost or threatened due to administrative barriers, restrictive legislation, or hostility. Three types of action facilitate a better integration: language courses, accommodation and integration projects and scholarships.
